Nice 5lb bass! The biggest I ever caught was eight and a half. Caught him on a STUPID large bluegill live bait, fin hooked on a bobber to make him swim with a sideways motion (injured fish dinner bell). I wasn't expecting to catch anything on a bluegill that large, it was pan fry material all day long. Lots of fun for a 11yo me, and wonderful eating once my dad smoked it.

It’s awesome that you caught fish on the crab and the duck and frankly catching a fish on that duck lure surprised the hell out of me!😂

So when I was a kid my dad told me that if you catch a fish on your first cast it’s bad luck for the rest of the day so I use to cast and reel in as fast as possible to prevent a catch on first cast just in hopes of a great day of fishing. Like if you have done this

I wonder where all the protein in that pond comes from. We are on a small lake in Northern Minnesota, and there is a definitive lack of protein. There are some monsters, but they are few and far between. Most of the fish are tiny, 3-4" crappies. Ive thought about setting up protein pellet feeding stations to try to get some resources into the lake, but dont have the time as of yet.

I think the shark lure is better in saltwater because the fish in saltwater are used to baby sharks or maybe in Florida where baits like that are more common. Great video though

The shark lure was a bad color for bass and too big for bluegills.

Notice there aren't any ducks in the pond, especially little ones....

I saw that crab lure in the thumbnail and knew it was gonna be something else. Not too surprised about the shark. Maybe in some deeper water with some current it could shine. But I am actually surprised at the duck lure being so successful. Great video, as always Nick. Keep on yankin 'em!
